• Made the battery attachments for my drone-rocket thing I made for Highway
• Bought a filament dryer and calipers with the money from SOM :)
@Azzy-U08PLHD4L2J250 days challenge ❄️ Daily update #3 | Streak: 3 days :P
Productive stuff I did for my goals
• Well... my calc test grades came back and uh. Not great so I guess that doesn't really fulfill anything... I'm kinda bummed because I did 200+ practice problems, corrected my previous quiz, and made super detailed review guides for this one... but I documented my mistakes and also did today's problem set before class so I had some time to chill and process everything. I really want to make a comeback on the next test about integrals
• Made a realistic plan to self-study AP stats that I might actually be able to follow :3 (screenshot is my current progress in Khan Academy)
• I worked on the abstract for my small research project based on feedback from my project manager!
• Ran a nice debate practice today and got to know my teammates some more
• Finished my AP Bio homework before AP Bio class ended
Nice stuff
• I tried the green tea cake I mentioned in an earlier update! It's AWESOME
• My friend 3D printed a box that can turn into a triangle and gave it to me which is super cool!
The day is not over yet so I'm planning on grinding a lot for debate by working on my cases and prep! I will update here when I'm done either later tonight or tomorrow
@Azzy-U08PLHD4L2J250 days challenge ❄️ Daily update #2 | Streak: 2 days :3
Stuff I did for my goals
• I solved 50+ integrals today and I'm finally getting it a little bit now (my last bit of work is attached where I absolutely lost my mind and doodled something random). In the mix: Riemann sums, trapezoid rules, definite integrals, limit definitions, using geometry to get the integrals, piecewise integrals, additive integral properties, and transformations...
• I went to my university for an AIChE (american institute of chemical engineers) meetup and got a sticker + 2 free slices of pizza
• Got 3,555 steps today cus it was very busy with my 5 credit hour chem class at uni
Productive stuff in general (kind of fulfills goal #1 to work on what "serves me")
• I took my AP Bio and Spanish tests today
• I edited a video of my school's Diwali celebration which had hundreds of students involved during lunch! I'm an executive board member for the organizing club and it was really cool to see everything come together
• I revised an abstract for a small research project I'm working on and coordinated with my team members on what to do next. It's about nanoparticles!
• I wrapped up the student representative application I mentioned yesterday with 2 more big essays and revising the previous ones!
Nice stuff
• I am seriously behind on the apps that my friends are installing these days because I used to have an iPhone 6s and it wouldn't lemme download any apps because they upgraded iOS and I have full storage... but I got a refurb iPhone 14 because my previous phone crashed and wouldn't get any messages and its AWESOME
• I downloaded Spotify today and man it is way more convenient than what I used to do by making playlists on YouTube on my computer...
I have a debate tournament on Saturday so I have to lock in and work on a lot of prep tomorrow, wish me luck!

Stuff I did for my goals
• I finally figured out Riemann sums! Attached is a picture of my successful work after a long time of toil and not getting what this is bro (everyone says I'm a natural 'slowpoke' at math)
• I worked on redesigning social media posts for a small news organization I'm a director for, to stand out more and take less time to create each week!
• It was snowing and really cold but I went out for a run and got 5,000 steps! (not including during the day because I use my phone to track steps and can't have phones at school. but in general I don't exercise much since I'm a couch potato and I want to change that)
Productive stuff in general (kind of fulfills goal #1 to work on what "serves me")
• I completed my AP economics homework a day early
• I did my university chemistry homework 2 weeks early
• I made a 10 page study guide for my AP bio unit test and reviewed lecture slides, attached a preview of my study guide because I'm happy with it
• I wrote two 1,000 word essays for an application to represent my school at the board of education
Nice stuff
• I went to study at the cafe today and got a croque monsieur bread
• There was a nice deal for a slice of green tea cake and a latte for $9 so I got those for tomorrow's study treat
• Me and my friend's project involving building a plane is showing signs of life (the prototype is looking promising)
• I got to know a kid in this AP computer science principles class that I'm the teaching assistant for and bro is in calculus in 9th grade...
@Akaalroop0This message is a bit late 😅 , so it’s fasttttt. This is my first ever game in rust and I used Macroquad! I plan to deploy it on the web soon since macroquad makes that easy, but you can play it right now on Linux, Mac and Windows! It’s called CloudCat and basically you have a cat, and rain clouds and your objective is to protect the cat using an umbrella (triggered for 3s via hitting the space bar)! I hand animated the cat & cloud and those are my first ever animations too!!
Check it out on SoM: summer.hackclub.com/projects/1359
And on GitHub (downloads are available in releases): github.com/Spacexplorer11/CloudCat
@magicfrog0personal website arc????? like 7 hrs spent so far
just setting stuff up (took me AGES to get my cat model on there,,,)
still feels a little bland, we'll see where it goes i guess XD

@iUnstable00Day 3:
I procrastinated on the neighborhood project again 😔
Yesterday was pretty packed tho. I did more research into Meshtastic nodes and decided to go with Femtofox! Their hardware looks solid, but sadly they’ve got this proprietary “Pro” edition that has extra features compared to the open-source one. Tbh I wouldn’t mind supporting them and paying for the hardware, but they’re out of stock 😭 The difference isn’t that huge though, so I’ll probably just roll with the free version and pay for PCB manufacturing myself.
I also got an automatic water dispenser for my cat recently, and it’s really annoying. It allows only a maximum of one water refill every 6 hours (drains the old water and pumps in fresh), but the waste bin fills up in just 2 days... For something that’s supposed to be convenient, it’s kina not 💀
My first idea was to just manually power it on, press the “refresh” touch button, and turn it back off. But that defeats the entire point, it would honestly be faster to just dump out a normal water bowl and refill it by hand.. So I cracked the device open, soldered a wire to the capacitive pad that triggers the manual refill, and tested it by shorting to GND, and it worked! Now I just need to hook up a microcontroller to simulate that GND trigger, and maybe add a relay or transistor inline with the battery to control the whole thing automatically :-)
@TheRealCraig0fixed a few bugs, updated boards styling, and started working on removing the flash on load in Codeboard today. also did some research on how i could implement jumpstarts, but i didn't find much. (day 9? of #C045S4393CY|)
@anne0day 2 of #C045S4393CY|! i made a cat shaped case for my weather station (for asylum) even though im not super impressed by how it looks like right now :3
i worked on game assets for my juice / jungle game, worked on uploading those assets to my github repo and making some detailed storyline sketches (i know brainstorming doesn't count but these sketches will be in the game). i made sure to keep my tamagatchi alive and feed him (even though he's kinda ugly :/)
i made some progress on my infill printer (with the toolhead design) and did some basic research on extrusion systems & hotends.
@KittyCat2Today, I worked more on my Browser Buddy project. I added a pop-up pane that has a list of buttons with links to cat themed productivity tools. I think I’ve pretty much finished the extension and am ready to submit it. I also made a anime style logo (at acon’s workshop today) for one of my other current projects: my kitty themed Minecraft mod. I’m really happy with all the progress I made today, and I can’t wait to make more tomorrow!
:
1. i was at the salon getting my hair braided for 8 hours
2. my laptop went to get some repairs (got repaired but came back with more issues
)
uh so for now, here’s a pic of a cat which im seeing for the 2nd time in the span of 3 weeks
@AdityaPV0Made a text generator with markov chains.
This was created to test my hypothesis on how to improve repeated text generations from LLMs.
I generated over 400 quotes each from my model and chatgpt 3.5 turbo. And created a website where people could rate the similarity of quotes.
If enough people had voted, i might have finished my research, but alas!!
some text generated by my model:
> The mother was the sidewalk. Everyone clapped and the end, they decided to see my special trick?” The rabbit lived near a memory of playing, they found a shooting star twinkling. She would style it to the fields. The frog decided to watch the rat showed off their usual activities. A cat was sad because it flew over a tree. It was the cool water and a goat were so excited that was the most important thing of its mother encouraged it. The bear lived near a river together. The boy had a cow loved to catch it. In a forest. One day, she looked through the rocks. They decided they saw a tall grass, while the sun set, they thanked the same barn. The frog how far it as a branch above the same house. The dog would pretend to hop on a frog. Every morning, it as flying. A horse loved it was a leaf. The crab met by the frog. Every morning, the way they both realized that having a melody. One day, the rat showed off their special acorn. In the animals to chat and the mud. One day, the sun. You don’t you teach me to

Cat in a dog's body? Originally started this project cause i wanted to train some models - i started by cobbling together some stt/tts/llm things and was going to replace them with my own models one by one but i never got around to that lol

@fish0I made a simple collection of buttons that play sounds on click, for fun or suspense. This is similar to, and inspired by Discord's Soundboard feature. There are currently three sounds, a dramatic, three-chord sound, a cat and a duck, and I may add more in the future.

@LolaSanchez0for my blot submission, i made a cat that looks slightly different everytime you click generate, and is made out of little dots! here's the github link: github.com/lolasanchezz/algorithmic-tabbies and heres a pic:

Arcadia is a mini, cute shell based on fun. You can play games on it, interact with your virtual cat Schopenhauer on it and do system-based jobs such as creating, removing files. Also, you can write your own Arcadia scripts! It is written in Python and I should not spoil it for you.
