Day 22: • Just forgot about AOC, will do! • Did coding for 5 hrs • Got rejected for #C09DLGM81E1| • Got approved for #C0A1GEUM8R3|! Day 21: • Did coding for 6h 25min(can have done hrs if I had taken it seriusly and didn't watch movies..) • For cursor effect I had to do these:

a. Identify current country or Ocean
    1. Get coordinates of raycaster (Vector3)
    2. Convert it into geojson coordinates
    3. Get country details and its coordinates
    4. Convert country's coordinates back to globe coords
b. Highlight the color of that country
c. Add particles on hover and delete on moving away

I did a1, a2, a3 but later found that my coordinates are wrong idk why, I think I am missing something or doing something wrong hence I will repeat it today. Day 22: • DO coding for 9 hrs today • Make the cursor effect a reality somehow but don't ask anything to AI(not even math formulas..) • Study for 30 min atleast

Day 18/50: • Made a projects page for my personal website - it still needs some work though. • Finally, FINALLY got Milkyway Pets working for macOS (I hope - I haven't been able to confirm whether it works) • Practiced clarinet for ~30-35 minutes. It's the first time I've played since I got sick, but I really want to make a habit of practicing most days. • Went out and practiced driving in the evening - I felt a lot more confident that last time (actually, less terrified might be more accurate) • Realised that I'd lost my 33-day Anki streak

After spending my last month with exams looming over my shoulder, it feels so weird to have all this time to myself. I still want to manage my time better than I have in the past, and avoid spending too much time on YT and Slack - hopefully these goals can be reminders for future me.

Day 17: • Last exam out of the way! That's an end to the academic year - finally.

• Started setting up a VM for macOS with quickemu in order to aid my packaging effors. • Made some lemon cookies, went to a party, I'm now engaged for a badminton duel to the death or smth... • I'm kinda tired now so I've been listening to some music from my parents' CD collection (Together in concert - Tim Finn, Bic Runga, and Dave Dobbyn)

Today I started to work on the art! • I finished the 1st week from a pre-uni math course 📝 (I was procrastinating it for so long) • I have an exam from the school administration on language and literature and I have to recap everything and memorize some quotes and verses 😪 I loved writing until last year but something shifted in me 💔 • I received my milkyway stickers!

Day 12 of

: • Posted the Windows and Linux builds for Milkyway Pets in #C09EZSEMB16| in order to get some feedback before I ship it. I got a lot of feedback and have learnt a lot from getting it into the hands of other people for the first time. Some of the issues I've noticed: a. Use a makefile to automate the build process. Automated testing is hard to make work in this context, but it would also be useful. b. Improve the config experience: Already partially there! The program now looks for a config file in the same directory as the program, and the program come with a template for the config file. I'm considering moving away from TOML to something simpler and more forgiving with user errors. c. Get rid of the Space-to-toggle-window-decorations thing. It's confusing, and being able to drag the window should be the default on most platforms. It's still needed on Wayland, since they can't set their own position. d. Better error handling: Currently errors either get ignored or are printed to the console. The windows users found this a bit confusing since they aren't running it from the terminal, so a graphical error window would be useful. e. Better installation guide: When I finally ship this project, it needs to have a good guide to installation and usage, since running the program requires you to find both your Hackatime API key and a

Session ID. Somebody had an issue with getting their sessionid cookie, but I couldn't replicate it. A backup method would be useful just in case. • Studied for my Japanese exam tomorrow. I focused on listening, which I've been neglecting up until now. I'm not feeling the greatest about tomorrow, but I'll give it my best shot

• Did a practice exam for my licence test tomorrow and got a cool clean calm and collected 100% LETS GOOOO!! 💥 💥 ‼️ I'm either gonna sit the exam tomorrow or the day after, depending on how I'm feeling.

I went to support my teammates today at a debate tournament, since I couldn't compete myself --- I had my chem exam on the first day of rounds, which were mandatory to attend. We worked on a lot of prep together! Day 10/

! I'm still feeling sick, but it's getting better and I think it'll be gone by Monday. I set pretty low expectations for myself today, but I did more than I thought I would so that feels good. • I wrote an about me page for my new personal website! I lowkey dread writing but once I got in the flow it was pretty fun! • I went through a past reading paper for Japanese. To get the the most points you basically need to be understanding everything and including it in your answer + analysing the implications or subtext. I can translate the text easily, but it's that deeper understanding and being able to use that information to answer the questions that I find harder. I don't think this counts as study, but I watched the film Happyend with subtitles and really enjoyed it. • Did practice tests for my licence exam - I'm feeling more and more confident that I'll be able to pass :) • Did a little work on my game.

Day 7 1. Relaxed, had a massive sleep in after the exam 2. Started studying for RE scholarship, the topic is inclusivity in the Catholic Church so today I went over LGBTQ+ in the catholic church and some catechism stuff etc to get proper quotes and sources. 3. Did some work for #C08HX0F11BP| 4. Played a game 5. Went sailing for a few hours 6. Had a meeting with Tristan who is a uni student about KiwiHacks, he’s helping with marketing and a few connection things too! 7. Study for computer science - methods of encryption Relatively productive day!

! Great googly moogly! • Fixed a bug in Milkyway Pets where tray menu entries weren't being removed when clicked. Worked a bit on my other game, Burning Rain. • Read ~30 pages of the comic 俺物語. I had to look up a lot of vocab, but I could get the general jist of a lot of sentences. • Did some practice tests for my licence exam. It turns out that there are new questions being introduced next month, so I'll probably sit the test after my Japanese exam next week. That'll be the first goal ticked off my list! • Made a post about my YSWS idea, If you have any thoughts or feedback on the concept let me know!

Productive stuff I did for my goals • Edited a video I helped film and put together of a cultural celebration at my school and finalized it for posting on social media! • Planned application to a fun summer program. • Did a batch of calculus problems --- my math notes Google Doc hit 100 pages :0 • Did two practice exams in preparation for my chemistry midterm! That's 40 full-length problems across 100 minutes :3 (attached is a photo of some of my random scratch paper) • Went to my chemistry lab practical today, it went well! I got 100% on the post-lab assessment • Got caught up on some stuff in Hack Club • Uploaded news articles to a site and designed Instagram posts for a small news publication I help edit for! Nice stuff • I was checking university major requirements and found that on top of my existing reqs for engineering (which I know for sure I'm going to do) I just need to take 1 more class for a mathematics minor and 3 more classes for a mathematics major... should I do it to flex bruh (math is my least favorite subject but I find it funny and possibly a valuable degree)

Day 6 1. Went into school early to study for my afternoon Level 3 Economics exam (Year 13 exam, I’m in Year 12) 2. Had my exam! It went pretty well and I think that was an excellence! 3. Got home and had a meeting for #C08HX0F11BP| 4. Started making the budget for #C08HX0F11BP| 5. Played games for the rest of the night to relax for once, no exams for a week so will be working on #C07KRNHG339| bts! Day 6 of

Today I: • FINALLY finished the system tray functionality for Milkyway Pets. I'm hoping to get this shipped by the end of the week, ahead of whatever the cool announcement next week will be. • Went to the AA to book my licence exam, forgot I had to have my passport on me. I also found out that the exam conditions wont be changing, so I'm hopefully gonna do it after my exams are over. • Reviewed the grammar structures that will appear in my Japanese exam. • Did some writing for my personal website. It didn't feel like it, but it's been a pretty productive day!

(Yesterday) • Sunday full day of studies • No coding these days as exams • No Github activity today • Did Physics,Maths,Biology and Geography • Did khan academy stuff.

Day 5 1. Started the day with economics study, preparing for my exam 2-5pm tomorrow! 2. Went sailing! Left home around 12pm and got home around 7pm, got all 2nds in the racing which is pretty good 3. Did some more study when I got home for economics 4. Tested out the new DJI mic I got recently for content creation for hackathons I organise in Auckland! 5. Did some work for #C08HX0F11BP| BTS, met someone who’s done teen marketing campaigns who is helping us with a marketing plan for free!! : • Did some more work on getting the tray item to work. Callbacks are one of the things that the sdl3 crate doesn't really have good ergonomics for. • Practiced clarinet a bit and transcribed the other piece I need to study. • Did some codeforces problems • Studied for my Japanese exam
