Submitted my thingy for #C096T301L2G| and worked on #C0986C56KNV| a bit (you should totally RSVP)
Also... Stickers!!!
Today I discovered you can call golang functions from js using WASM and pkg.go.dev/syscall/js which is pretty cool. I think I'm going to try to make some sort of interactive colourful making thingy with it!
I also worked some more on the #C096T301L2G| thing and made some actually nice wallpapers I think, like this one which is supposed to be fire-y colours
Started working on something for #C096T301L2G|
Generates random colourful wallpapers like these
Day 3 of my new streak
Today I deployed my slack bot shipped it in SoM just to see what would happen summer.hackclub.com/projects/8215
Now, just waiting on certification...
day 2
• Did some chemistry revision (finally understand electrolysis now)
• Started working on a silly slack bot summer.hackclub.com/projects/8215 (not useaable yet)Day 1 of the school holidays:
• Read a few more chapters of let's go github.com/zakkbob/snippetbox
• Made a sort-of revision timetable
• Didn't do much, but I'm sure that I will tomorrow
Today, I emailed the author of 'Let's Go' and got a discount on the book, which was nice. I already did the first chapter in the sample, so I've just continued from there a bit today. Going well so far!
lets-go.alexedwards.net
Went through the sample for "Let's Go" by Alex Edwards lets-go.alexedwards.net and it's quite good. The full book costs money though, so hopefully I can get a discount.
My solder submission arrived! Now, just waiting for the kit
Today I made the mistake of adding CodeRabbit to a repo out of curiosity - it made 70 comments on my code (a mix of hallucinations, extreme nitpicks, some useful suggestions, and it even caught a few bugs). So, that's fun I guess.
github.com/zakkbob/mxguard/pull/1
Oh, I also messed up a rebase and now my last 50 commits say they were done today.
Kept working on some projects, and was at the top of the hackatime leaderboard for a bit. I should probably sleep now though as it's 4AM
Cookie cutter arrived
Had some homework and revision to do so i couldn't work on anything much
today. Was forced to learn various fun things instead like 'the 5 types
of cities'. 😕
At least I could write my notes using obsidian.md instead of a book.
Started using obsidian again. Going to try to use it minimally this time as I went too far with plugins and stuff last time and lost motivation.
Worked some more on github.com/zakkbob/mxguard (name in progress)
Setup viper and go-migrate. Next is probably creating users through the CLI

Bought a yubikey because where else am I supposed to put my awesome new gpg key? Idk if this is cheating for scrapbook, so I guess I also started learning how blockchain works.
Finally learnt what gpg keys actually are, and made my own...
Now I get a fancy tag next to my git commits
Started setting up timetagger then somehow spent 5 hours researching bcrypt and compiler optimisations instead.
Somehow already managed to screw up vikunja. But its fine because its mostly fixed now. (Note for future me: don't switch to an unstable release before backing up the database!)
Learning how to make a go CLI with cobra
Improved some security stuff then started setting up authentik
Finished setting up portainer, deployed vikunja (again) and migrated the database over. Next is probably an auth proxy (Authentik?) and then a whole bunch of apps I'll barely use
Learning about SPF, dkim, dmarc and (s)mime (RFCs are so useful!)
Setup a portainer vm and did some other random stuff :O
Was too busy to work on any projects today, but learnt some more about SMTP ig
Started learning more about SMTP
Was forced to ship an awful ui for neighborhood
(hopefully I did it in time)
Just found out I've spent 23 hours on slack today
Worked some more on #C08L288G22Y|. Although, now that I know the basics of Kicad, I'll probably try to make my submission more interesting
Also, made something for #C0844MV2JM9| because cookies are yummy.
Started learning PCB design with #C08L288G22Y| and also discovered than kicad-wakatime is not very accurate (It was 4 hours 😭 )
started working on a silly hacklet thingthe drives arrived, so I can try to make my nas now
